In 1972, Nicholas and Marion DiPasquale made the dream of owning their own business a reality. They purchased the former Heiklen’s Clothing Store on Freas Avenue in Berwick PA. Nick had a passion for clothing, but he also had a family of 6 boys to provide for, which led him to a career in bricklaying and tuck pointing, retiring after 35 years in the business. The clothing store thrived throughout the 70’s, 80’s, & 90’s, expanding into neighboring communities. In 1981, Nick and his son Peter began operating D’s Clothier West in the former Community Jewelers building, in downtown Danville, eventually, purchasing the former Newman’s Clothing Store building at the former 226 Mill Street, the location at which we still operate today. In 1991, due to health concerns, Nick brought another son, Thomas into the family business to manage the day to day operations of the Danville Store, and he continues to own and operate the 438 Mill Street store today, meanwhile the Freas Avenue store has since closed. Product lines have changed over the years, but not our commitment to quality goods and exceptional customer service. D’s provides a full line of men’s clothing from formal wear and business attire, to jeans, boots, and superior outdoor gear and travel wear. Our women’s department features casual functional styles for everyday wear, and a large selection of Clark’s footwear.
